New Mexico State University’s Nurse Anesthesiology DNP program has achieved accreditation by the Council on Accreditation for Nurse Anesthesiology Education programs (COA)NMSU made the decision to launch this program due to the critical need for anesthesia providers in the state and region, especially in rural health centers and critical access hospitals. To serve the healthcare needs of the state, the curriculum will have a focus on rural health and health disparities in New MexicoNMSU has been collaborating with the NMANA and other stakeholders from around the state during the program planning and accreditation process.

NMSU has launched a crowdfunding campaign to support nurse anesthesiology DNP students. Please consider contributing to this scholarship fund and support students in New Mexico’s first and only nurse anesthesia program.

New Mexico State University is developing a nurse anesthesiology concentration in their DNP program. NMSU made the decision to launch this program due to the critical need for anesthesia providers in the state, especially in rural health centers and critical access hospitals. To serve the healthcare needs of the state, the curriculum will have a focus on rural health and health disparities in New Mexico.  NMSU has been collaborating with the NMANA and other stakeholders from around the state during the program planning process.

NMSU has launched a $1.25 million fundraising campaign to support program development. Please consider contributing to the development and launch of the first nurse anesthesia program in New Mexico. Every donation will help NMSU move closer to its goal of graduating 25 CRNAs per year.
